Injecting results-based financing in the ecosystem
The Brabant Outcomes Fund (BOF) was initiated by the Province of Noord-Brabant, and offers results-based financing to social and community-driven enterprises. The goals of the Brabant Outcomes Fund are to stimulate social and community-driven entrepreneurship that impact (regional) societal challenges.
BOF represents an investment-focused point of entry to a regional ecosystem for impact-driven enterpreneurship. The BOF’s methods are based on the social impact bonds (SIBs) funding model: public-private results-based financing. A SIB is a contract whereby private investors fund an approach or intervention devised by social entrepreneurs. Once the intended results have been achieved, the government pays back the investors.
